I was tasked with creating a fidget spinner in Autodesk Fusion. The goal of this assignment was to be able to follow the given instructions and replicate the design of a fidget spinner. This required me to use software with which I had no prior experience. I have worked with other 3D modeling software, such as Solidworks, in my previous classes, but AutoCAD was new to me. This assignment challenged me to think about how each part of a design is constructed to make the whole product. I also created a drawing of my finished design so that it could be replicated by somebody else. This task required me to be very detailed in my dimensions and specifications. Specificity and organization are both important skills for an engineer because it is easier to share ideas and improve upon them.
